Well the wedding is done and over. Jessie and Patrick are in Florida now and all is quiet. But I feel I should be doing something!

These are the wedding favors that we made for the guest, about 175 of them. Donna Glen is the Card-a-gami queen! She made this Stargazer Lily for Jessica! Thank you Donna, everyone loved them!

This is the inside with Hershey's Treasures!

And this is the cake card box that I made with my Cricut.
My new son-in-law thinks that I should make them and sell them! Maybe by special order only!

The Wedding is 5 Weeks Away!

I am such a basket case right now! The day is getting closer and I have so much to do!

Last Friday we went to my parent's house so that my mom, Fawn (the Matron of Honor), Jessica, and I could get the bouquets made up. Well, Jessica bought a pair of shoes to go with her dress so she was going to try it on also. Good thing she did! The dress would not zip up all the way! There was like a three inch gap to get it closed. Well we called David's bridal and they told us to come up right now for a fitting. So off Jessica and I go, leaving bouquets to mom and Fawn. We get there, get her a dressing room to get the dress on with the shoes, get into the fitting room and they can let out the dress! YIPEE! And her shoes make the dress a perfect length! So that disaster is solved.

We get back to the house where mom and Fawn are cutting out the flowers for the wedding favors with a whole pile of flowers in the middle of the table. I guessed they were waiting on Jessica to know what she wanted. Fawn starting placing flowers together to try and make something out them and she did! Thank God she worked in the floral department at Schnuck's! They turned out great! I will post pictures soon! Jessica's bouquet needs some small white flowers added and we didn't have any so we couldn't finish hers. We must go shopping AGAIN!

I am also in the middle of making Memorial candles for Jessica's grandpa, Patrick's grandpa, and Josh, my nephew. I have printed the Memorial on Velum paper and I am going to decopodge them.

The wedding favors are coming along. They are time consuming but they will be fantastic when I get them done! I made a friend on Aimee Asher's site, her name is Donna Glen and she creates the Card-i-gami's. She has made Jessica her a Stargazer Lily Card-i-gami for her wedding to use on her favors! We are almost done so I will post pictures soon! Donna I just want to thank you for your creative talent in helping us get this favor together! You idea's are so awesome!

I ordered the flowers off the internet for the center pieces and they arrived Friday. Now I can get them done when I get the vases from Jessica. She took them home to peel off all the sticky price tags! I delegate well don't I? lol!

Well I must get back to work!
I'll have pictures next time!

I been sooo busy!

I have not been on since the day I have started this! I'm so bad! I know that my blog is for embroidery and crafts but I just haven't had the time to do anything that I want to do!

Things have been hectic for me as it's been solid wedding plans for my daughter Jessica. Her and her fiance Patrick are getting married on September 18th.

Things are going well though! We have the reception hall, the caterer and Friday we meet with a DJ and photographer.

FINALLY, Jessica got all the brides maids together and found dresses that they all liked! Now I have a color to get started with! Her first decision was periwinkle, then went to a purple, then a blue. It was driving me crazy! We finally ended up with fuchsia! So now I can get started on favors, decorations, and all that good stuff!

We all know that the bride is the only one to wear white in the wedding, but Jessica just loved these dresses on the girls and as she said this is "HER" wedding! They all looked great in them no matter what size they wore! Here is a not so good pic that I took but this is finally what they came up with.

This is Linda (my daughter in law) and Missy (Jessica's friend) in the dresses.

I don't know how this would actually look good but I thought Star Lilly's for the flowers! With solid fuchsia ribbons. Then I think too much fuchsia! Well have to think on that one. But they are so pretty!

Well at least I have finally added something! I will add more pics of all the wedding decor as I go.
That's crafty isn't it! LOL! I work better under pressure though, always have, probably always will!

Good night to all,

Lulu

First Time Blogger

This is my first time as a blogger and really excited to get it started! Sharing my passion of crafts and embroidery with others who also share my interest is to me a continuous learning experience!

I have a commercial embroidery machine, I have had it for going on 8 years now and it still amazes me what some spools of thread and a bunch of needles can do with the push of a button!
I do some work for some local bar and grills, I embroider their logo's on jackets, shirts, and hats for their pool leagues, dart leagues, and softball leagues. Plus items to sell to their customers. I also sew up baby items and sweatshirts for a few winter craft fairs that my mother and I get into every year.

I am now getting in to paper crafting, a new learning experience for me, and it seems a costly one! LOL! I figured that I can work on paper crafting while the machine is running! I already have a Cricut, a lamanating machine, and bought oodles of clip art from my favorite web site PC Crafter. Not only do they have great clip art but in the message board these ladies are chucked full of ideas!

I plan on posting some pictures soon. Since this is my first post I now have to start taking some pictures! So stay tuned!
